According to the memories of contemporaries and press materials, the author examines Forgel’s M. activities at the Ternopil Academic Regional Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Taras Shevchenko. The material, which was thoroughly researched, made it possible to recreate the chronological sequence of theatrical performances and cooperation with directors. The author pays special attention to the peculiarity of Forhel's Mykhailo administrative policy of the theater, characterizing it as a “phenomenon” of the artistic director Forhel. The article highlights the creative collaboration with directors invited from other theaters, particularly the director of the National Theater named after Maria Zankovetska Fedir Stryhun, and critically analyzes the performances he staged. More specifically, the author analyzes the plays “The Landlord” by Karpenko-Kary I. (directed by F. Stryhun), “Hutsulka Ksenia” by Y. Barnych (directed by F. Stryhun), “Maclena Grasa” by M. Kulish, “At the cost of blood” by Lesya Ukrainka (directed by O. Mosiychuk), I. Karpenko-Kary's “Martyn Borulya” (directed by Bobrovsky A.), “The Last Man in Love” (directed by V. Stenko), “The Gospel of John” by A. Krym (directed by O. Mosiychuk), and others. The conclusions to the article state that the period of Forhel's leadership was one of the most productive periods in the history of the Ternopil Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Taras Shevchenko. He was not afraid to experiment, so the theater diversified its repertoire, attracted the public, and was replenished with talented youth.</p> Liudmyla Vaniuha, Nataliia Lemishka, Yevhen Latsik Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.tnpu.ternopil.ua/index.php/art/article/view/1315 Mon, 10 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0200 ART PROJECTS: HISTORICAL-RESEARCH AND PERFORMANCE ASPECTS https://journals.tnpu.ternopil.ua/index.php/art/article/view/1316 <p>The purpose of the work is to consider the prospects for using new educational technologies, in particular, the actualization of historical-research and performance-interpretation aspects in the process of creating artistic projects by future music teachers. The researcher emphasises that integration into the European cultural space is important for the formation of new trends in contemporary Ukrainian music, while preserving its national identity. The study analyses in detail the key stages of development of Ukrainian music, starting with the underground movement of the 1980s and ending with contemporary trends that cover genre diversity – from ethno-electronic to pop music. Particular attention is paid to the influence of such well-known artists as ONUKA, Go_A, Kalush Orchestra, who successfully combine traditional Ukrainian motifs with modern European genres, contributing to the international popularisation of Ukrainian culture. European integration processes also open up new opportunities for Ukrainian performers through participation in events such as the Eurovision Song Contest, music festivals such as Atlas Weekend, and cooperation with international grant programmes (Erasmus+, Creative Europe). These programmes facilitate the exchange of experience between Ukrainian and European artists, allowing them to improve their professional skills, strengthen cultural ties and improve the quality of music products. The publication emphasises the important role of modern digital platforms and social media, which allow Ukrainian artists to reach a wide international audience. As an example, the author examines the activities of the singer Yaktak, whose works have become popular thanks to the algorithms of platforms such as YouTube and Spotify, which contributes to the integration of Ukrainian music into the global cultural space. The conclusions of the research emphasise that European integration contributes to the professional development of Ukrainian artists, the promotion of national culture abroad, and the strengthening of international cultural relations. However, performers face significant challenges, such as high competition, preserving national identity, financial difficulties, and finding support. For the effective integration of Ukrainian music into the European space, state support, the development of cultural diplomacy, and strengthening of international cooperation are essential. The study is a valuable contribution to the research of the current processes of adaptation and integration of Ukrainian culture into the European context, demonstrating its uniqueness, competitiveness and importance in the globalised world.</p> Viktoriia Yanyshena, Olena Spolska Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.tnpu.ternopil.ua/index.php/art/article/view/1322 Mon, 10 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0200
