GORDEEV`S SERHIY CREATIVE WORK IN THE CONTINUUM OF UKRAINIAN STAGE ART

Abstract

The research provides a comprehensive assessment of the multifaceted artistic contributions of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Gordeev Serhiy in the context of professionalizing the performing arts. The article characterizes the significance of Gordeev’s Serhiy life’s work and outlines the periods of his theatrical and artistic activities. The artist’s role in the discourse of stage art in Kharkiv is considered, and the influence of Gordeev’s Serhiy personality on the formation of Ukrainian culture is noted. His creative work includes acting, directing performances, theatrical concert programs, thematic events, research, educational and methodological recommendations, and publications in performing arts. Serhiy Gordeev, a professor at the Department of Directing at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, has significantly influenced the formation of theater education in Ukraine. Gordeev’s Serhiy creative work includes acting, directing performances, theatrical concert programs and thematic events, research, teaching and methodological recommendations, and publications in the field of performing arts. Gordeev Serhiy is a professor at the Department of Directing at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture and significantly influences the formation of theater education in Ukraine. His approaches and teaching methods are characterized by innovation, a desire for experimentation, and attention to the development of students’ creative abilities. The paper also highlights Gordeev’s Serhii research activities. The publications of Gordeev Serhiy, the Candidate of Art History, contribute to the development of the performing arts in Ukraine, providing new perspectives for understanding theater practice, education, and the social role of theater. He is the author of numerous scientific researches on the problems of stage art, pop art, and theater history, and a participant in national and international conferences, forums, and cultural and educational meetings. It should be noted that Gordeev Serhiy devoted his research to the theater school of Les Kurbas and Valentyna Chestyakova, whose legacy is an invaluable contribution to the development of theater art not only for Ukrainian but also for European culture. That is why these works are so important for the formation of the theoretical basis and practical aspects of theater activity.
