ON THE INFLUENCE OF CHORAL ART ON PERSONALITY: A HISTORICAL EXCURSION

Abstract

Choral art is unique in nature, primarily due to its collective basis and accessibility. It is this art form that most vividly reflects the dynamics of Ukrainian culture, embodying the philosophical, moral, and religious views of society in a particular historical period. By influencing the human consciousness, choral art shapes one’s ideals, moral principles, and way of life. Many scholars from various fields of knowledge have studied the potential of choral art, its features (acoustic and intonational properties of musical sound, the vocal nature of choral activity, the synthesis of music and poetic words based on the collective performance of choral works), and, most importantly, its impact on the individual. Most often, the question of the influence of choral art on the individual was the subject of attention of philosophers and teachers.
