THE FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL FOLK INSTRUMENTAL ART IN UKRAINE

The article examines the process of formation of professional folk instrumental art in Ukraine, its historical origins, evolution and current state. Key factors that contributed to the development of this art are highlighted, including socio-cultural, historical and pedagogical aspects that influenced the formation of performing traditions and professional schools. The role of folk musicians, masters of folk musical instruments, composers and teachers in the creation of professional performance culture, their contribution to improving the playing of folk instruments and enriching the repertoire is analyzed. Particular attention was paid to the development of orchestral and ensemble music making, which became an important stage on the way to the professionalization of folk instrumental art. The activities of outstanding performers and groups that contributed to the popularization of folk instrumental music both in Ukraine and abroad are considered. The relationship between the folk instrumental tradition and the pan- European trends of musical development, which was reflected in the formation of the original Ukrainian style of playing folk instruments, was traced. The educational aspect is revealed: the main stages of formation of professional training of performers, the development of educational institutions specializing in teaching folk instrumental art, and the influence of methodical schools on the formation of performance skills are defined. The role of state policy in supporting folk-instrumental culture, creating educational programs, festivals, competitions and other initiatives aimed at preserving and developing this art is characterized. It was determined that the current state of folk instrumental art in Ukraine is characterized by the expansion of its genre and stylistic boundaries, the active integration of traditional folk music with elements of academic, jazz and popular art. The active activity of folk orchestras, ensembles and individual performers, which contribute to the preservation and modernization of Ukrainian folk-instrumental culture, was noted. The importance of professional folk-instrumental art as an important component of national musical culture, its role in shaping the artistic image of Ukraine on the international arena, and the prospects for further development in the conditions of globalization processes are highlighted.
