The article focuses on the moral principles that guided Viktor Vinnichenko during his duties as chairman of the Ukrainian government, the Directory of the UNR. An important issue is liability policy for the results of its operations, not only to himself but also to the people who entrusted him with the post.Assessments and conclusions in the paper are based on the memories of colleagues, opponents Vynnychenko and his own comments that are valuable for the analysis of the failures of the Ukrainian government during the Directory. Also important is understanding what the consequences may lead blind adherence to philosophical and moral principles Nietzsche.
