HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF LIBERAL IMPERIALISM IN THE WORKS OF ROBERT COOPER

From the second half of the 90-ies of the last century, a number of basic research empires are growing. Subject empire again among the public interest. In the past 10 years, many politicians and historians have tried to present their interpretation of the project of liberal imperialism. Some scientists believe that the main purpose of the empire – is, as in the nineteenth century, the civilizing mission and export values such as the rule of law, free trade, and elected officials. Some see it in the spread of ideas, culture and lifestyle. However, they all recognized the fact that the existence of empires – it is a fact, not only the past but also the near future.
