FEMINISM IN THE MUSLIM WORLD

The purpose of this article is to acquaint with some basic ideas of the most influential and interesting authors, working in the tradition of Islamic feminism. The author defines the concept of urgency and insists interpretation of this issue. In the main idea it is that the phenomenon of Islamic feminism appeared at the end of the last century, and its main disadvantage is the rejection of the term due to the fact that this period was considered through the adoption of European standards. The author provides examples that prove that Islamic feminism today is very relevant and implemented taking into account socio-cultural tradition.
