The article analyzes the origins of religious teachings such as Cathars, Waldensians. Determined common features religious teachings of the Cathars and Waldensians. Characterized specifics ascetic- dualistic worldview religious teachings of the Cathars and Waldensians. When writing the article was used a number of methods, including the following: the method of analysis and synthesis of historical and comparative, chronological, retrospective and so on.
