RESTORATION OF ANIMATION AND TELEVISION FOR CHILDREN FROM THE PERIOD OF THE 1950S - 1960S IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze a number of scientific papers and sources to show the dynamics of the postwar recovery and development of children’s animation and television in Ukraine in the period 1950s - 1960s. The methodology of research has become generally accepted in modern historiography, the principles of objectivity, historicism, systematization, scientificity, comprehensiveness. Thanks to these principles, the author of the article studies the historical process in its dynamics, the versatility of interdependent relationships. The scientific novelty is that for the first time the period of post-war formation of one of the types of cinema, designed for a small audience, was systematically studied, taking into account all age features. Conclusions. Mainly, the author analyzes the quality and thematic content of films, as well as the creation of the first amateur animation groups, which in turn gave a big impetus to the technical development of animation and the search for new thematic solutions. The article pays attention to the comparison of the world development of animated films of that time and the Ukrainian Soviet one, which by and large, almost did not lag behind in technical development and thematic areas.
