SOURCE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES OF THE SCANDINAVIAN RUNIC INSCRIPTIONS OF THE XI CENTURY ON STUDYING OF SOCIAL CATEGORIES

The Scandinavian runic inscriptions of the XI century as peculiar written historical links on social history are investigated from a position of consideration of an information functional purpose of the runic material and source study opportunities of texts. The main attention concentrates on the detailed analysis of runic data. Clarifications of features of designation of social categories: governors, leaders, land owners and determination of range of their demographic indicators, are graphically represented in the form of the table and the diagram.
