GENERATIONS OF AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL STRATEGISTS (SECOND HALF OF THE 20TH – EARLY 21ST CENTURY)

The author puts forward the proposal of applying the prosopographical approach to the studying of the generations of the American international strategists. He comes to the conclusion that in the post-WW II years three generations of the American international strategists consequentially changed each other, namely “Wise Men” (early Yalta order), “Detente” (late Yalta order) and Post-Yalta order generations with latter still holding it’s positions at the helm of process of making of the nation’s international strategy. Considering his concept as a mere departure point for the following scholarly efforts, the author makes the suggestions for the advanced studies in this field.
