This article is dedicated to the development of the Republic of Indonesia after the fall of the Suharto regime and his ideological-political system of the “new order”. The main attention is focused on efforts to reform the country, on the political aspects of the transformation of Indonesia that is primarily connected with the parliamentary elections and the presidential elections.
