“SEPTEMBER’30 MOVEMENT” AND THE FALL OF THE “DEMOKRASI TERPIMPIN” IN THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

This article is devoted to an unsuccessful coup attempt, which took place in 1965 in Indonesia. The article reviews the events that preceded the coup attempt. A lot of attention is paid to the policy pursued by Sukarno and the Communist Party of Indonesia; Indonesian-Chinese relations on the eve of the coup attempt are highlighted although.
