THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF ECONOMIC DISCOURSE TEXTS TRANSLATION

Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical aspects of translating economic discourse texts, highlighting its significance in modern linguistics and specialized translation. It is noted that due to globalization and the expansion of international relations, the issues of adequacy and accuracy of translation have become increasingly important. The research describes methodological approaches to translating texts in the field of economics, exploring the interrelationship between stylistic features, context, terminology, cultural factors, and translation strategies. It is emphasized that integration of machine technologies and tools into the translation process opens up new opportunities but requires a responsible approach to their use. The process of translating texts in economic discourse is complex and multifaceted, as it requires the translator not only to have excellent linguistic knowledge and translation skills but also a deep understanding of economic terms and subject matter, cultural contexts, ethical norms, and modern technologies. Such combinations of knowledge allows to ensure the accuracy and adequacy of translations, which is critically important for effective communication in the fields of business, finance, and economics. It is asserted that misinterpretation of economic terms or distortion of the content of specialized texts leads to misunderstandings, disputes, loss of trust between partners, significant financial losses, and legal issues with serious unforeseen consequences. It is emphasized that the peculiarities and specific aspects of translating economic texts have become not only theoretical questions but also practical necessities for business and international cooperation between countries with different economic systems and cultural traditions.
