The functional purpose, details of the Scandinavian runic inscriptions in formation of a peculiar Scandinavian runic monumental and memorial tradition are investigated. The main attention concentrates on consideration and the analysis: runic stones as markers of family relationship, motive of fixing of the right for inheritance, interrelation between customers and deceased, an order of inheritance by successors of property.
