THE PECULIARITIES OF ACCENT OF NOUNS IN POETRY OF POETS OF THE ENDS OF XVIII–XIX CENTURIES

Abstract

Today accentology is the least developed part in Ukrainian linguistic. Scientific developments in this field are held in two main areas: the history of Ukrainian accent from laterpraslavic period to the present times and the history of Ukrainian literature emphasis. For study of the problem of formation of Ukrainian literary emphasis it is important his research in poetry of writers of the end of XVIII–XIX centuries, which has not only theoretical but also considerable practical importance because it allows you to specify rules of emphasize words in modern Ukrainian literary language. The purpose of this article is to find out the features of emphasizing of nouns in poetry „Holy Night” of Lesya Ukrainka in comparison with their emphasis in modern Ukrainian literary language. Identified lexemes are distributed in three accent groups: with emphasis based, with an emphasis on flexion and moving accent. During the analysis of factual material we revealed that differences in emphasis of nouns in poetry and in accentological dictionaries were not recorded. Therefore we can say that at the time of writing poetic work by Lesya Ukrainka accentological standards of Ukrainian language have been established.
