Abstract

The article deals with the current models of LSP teacher preparation in American higher educationinstitutions withgreat attention beingpaid to practical aspects of teacher training. In the course of research thecriteria for the classification in the LSP teacher training sphere have been elaborated based on the analysis ofquality characteristics of different teacher training models in USA. Furthermore the key areas for furtherresearch and adaptation to higher education conditions in Ukraine have been identified in this paper.
