Abstract

The article deals with the quantitative and qualitative analysis of scientific products on the methodology of research of educational management problems as a criterion of its development. The selection of scientific literature is carried out according to the peculiarities of the development of methodological knowledge and the theory of methodology of research of educational management problems in Ukrainian science. The scientific and methodological literature, dissertations and articles on methodology of cognition and methodology of pedagogic research, which are on the basis of (underlie) methodology of research of educational management problems, are analyzed. The paper studies some works on methodology of research of other sciences that covers the aspects of educational management. The ratio of the number of individual and collective books on research methodology was examined according to the publication periods. The author explores the book production according to its types (monographs, educational literature, etc.). Data are given about the growth of the number of books and articles on research methodology. The number of scientific products on pedagogical research methodology and methodology of research of educational management problems was compared.  It is found out that studies of problems of educational management are carried out mainly on the principles of methodology of pedagogical research. Since the 80s of the XX century there have been dissertations, educational literature, monographs, some sections of which touch upon the issues of the theory of methodology of research of educational management. The methodology of research of educational management problems develops as justification of methodological bases of specific studies on educational management. Ukrainian scientific researches are lack of fundamental works and educational literature that reveal the specifics of methodology of research of educational management. The paper shows the overall growth of all types of scientific products on methodology of research of educationalal management that indicates the gradual development of theoretical knowledge on research methodology in this field.
