SWOT-ANALYSIS TECHNOLOGY IN MANAGING THE QUALITY OF FUTURE TEACHER’S TRAINING AT PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The article reveals the problem of adaptation of national education system to the tendencies and requirements of the EU, search for the effective modern model of a higher education pedagogical institution, modernization of higher education institution management, use of education innovations and information and communication technologies. The technology of SWOT analysis proves to be one of the main strategic management techniques that evaluate both internal and external factors influencing the development of an education institution. The article presents that the methodology of SWOT analysis aims at first identifying strong and weak points, opportunities and threats and then finding correlation between them that can be further used to formulate and choose a university development strategy. The main aim of SWOT analysis is to discover valid data on the opportunities of an education institution and threats of environment in the process of its advancement on the market for education services. The tasks, peculiarities and stages of SWOT analysis technology are revealed and its efficiency in the process of future teacher training quality management is proved. The article presents the results of the investigation held in Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, specialty 014 Secondary Education (Master’s Degree), within the course of Management in Education. The results of the SWOT analysis prove its importance in strategic planning of the higher education institution’s activity. Its technology is an effective and reasonable means of evaluation of problems and management situations in the higher education institution which allows to systematize problem situations, better understand the structure of resources that require attention while improving the activity and further development of the education institution, monitor the internal and external environment, use new opportunities before its competitors, take considered decisions in the process of future teacher training quality management.
