Review of complaints regarding violations of academic integrity
The editorial board of the publication "The Scientific Issues of Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University. Series: pedagogy" reviews complaints regarding possible violations of academic integrity and publication ethics in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine and the principles of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
Grounds for consideration
The basis for consideration is substantiated information about possible violations, in particular:

academic plagiarism or self-plagiarism;

fabrication or falsification of research results;
-
unreliability or incorrect use of empirical data;
-
violation of ethical requirements when conducting pedagogical research;
-
improper attribution;
-
hidden conflict of interest.
Procedure for filing a complaint
The complaint is submitted to the editorial office in writing to the official email address of the journal. The complaint should include: the title of the article, information about the author(s), issue number and year of publication (if available), the essence of the violation, evidence or references to sources confirming the stated facts.
Review procedure
The complaint is reviewed by the editor-in-chief or executive secretary within 5 working days from the date of its receipt.
If it is established that there are grounds for further consideration:

a written request for clarification is sent to the author(s);

additional verification of materials is carried out;
-
if necessary, members of the editorial board or independent experts are involved;
-
documents confirming compliance with ethical requirements during the research may be requested.
The review is carried out in compliance with the principles of objectivity, impartiality and confidentiality.
Decision based on the results of the review
Based on the results of the review, the editorial board may make one of the following decisions:

manuscript rejection;
-
requirement for corrections;
-
publishing a correction notice;
-
retraction of an article;
-
informing the author's institution about the identified violations;
-
restrictions on further cooperation with the author.
The term for considering a complaint, as a rule, does not exceed 30 calendar days. In the absence of confirmation of a violation, the proceedings are terminated.
Appeal
The author has the right to appeal the editorial board's decision within 10 working days from the date of receipt of the notification. The appeal is reviewed by the editorial board again with the possible involvement of independent experts.
